Young boy who died after being struck by a car in Mullingar named locally

A four year-old boy who died after being struck by a car in Mullingar yesterday evening has been named locally as Abdur Rehman. The fatal incident happened shortly after 6.30pm yesterday evening at the Farranshock Estate.

The young boy was treated at the scene before being taken to Mullingar Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
