The Shannonside region has been included in a Status Yellow wind warning issued for the entire country on Thursday.
It comes into effect at midnight and will remain in place until 6pm that evening.
Met Eireann is warning of difficult travelling conditions and fallen trees.

Meanwhile, a similar warning comes into effect in Donegal, Galway and Mayo at 6pm this evening, until 5am tomorrow morning.
