A sod turning ceremony is taking place at a Co. Roscommon secondary school this morning. Work is due to start on a new astroturf pitch at CBS Roscommon later today.
The school has been involved in a major fundraising drive in recent months as they look to raise around €200,000 for the project. Principal Kevin Scollan says they're very close to reaching their target:
