A woman has been seriously assaulted in Co Longford.
It happened in Edgeworthstown on Tuesday.
A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the investigation and detained at a garda station in Co Longford.
He has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
