A woman has been hospitalised following an alleged assault in Longford Town yesterday morning.
A woman in her 50s was taken to Mullingar Hospital with non life threatening injuries following an incident at the Albert Reynolds Peace Park outside the town.
The alleged assault took place in the early hours of Monday morning, with the scene at the Mall sealed off over the last 24 hours.
