A woman is due in court over an alleged assault in Athlone.
Gardaí say they received a report of an assault that occurred at a house in the Battery Heights are shortly after midnight on Saturday, April 11th.
A woman was subsequently arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

She has since been charged, released, and is due to appear before a sitting of Athlone District Court at a later date.
