A woman in her 40s has appeared in court charged with the murder of her two children.
48-year-old Lynn Egar, with an address in Winetown, Rathowen, Co. Westmeath appeared at a special sitting of Mullingar District Court tonight.
The court heard she made no reply when she was charged by Gardai at Mullingar Garda Station this evening.

Five-year-old Thelma Dennany and her younger brother Mikey died after they were passengers in a car found on fire at Lacken on September 9th.
She was remanded in custody to the Dochas Centre at Mountjoy prison and is due back in court via videolink in Athlone later this month.
