A number of neighbouring areas and counties will also benefit from a major regeneration project in Drumshanbo.
That's according to local Cllr Brendan Barry if it was confirmed that construction is due commence next month.
Costing €6.2 million, it could facilitate up to 40 jobs.
When complete, it will transform the former Bank of Ireland building and adjoining vacant properties on Main Street into a modern working hub.
Plans also include the refurbishment of two nearby outbuildings, upgrades to the riverside walk, and improvements within the People's Park.
Local Cllr Brendan Barry believes the project will have wide-ranging benefits:
