The FTD Brothers, who have strong family links in the Shannonside region, have completed 33 marathons in 33 days and raised around €2 million for dementia and Alzheimer's causes.
There was thunderous applause in Merrion Square Park in Dublin city as thousands of people applauded Jordon Adams as he finished the mammoth challenge - including these chants:
He started by running the London Marathon with a fridge on his back, before completing 26.2 miles in every county in Ireland, including Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon.
Jordon, 31, and his brother, Cian, 25, from near Birmingham, have relatives in Leitrim and Longford.
Their mother, Geraldine, died from frontotemporal dementia at the age of 52. In total, 12 of their Irish relatives died from the condition, the first being their grandmother from Mohill, Co Leitrim.
Jordon says he was thrilled to finish today:
Jordon and Cian are almost certain to develop FTD.
Cian says he wanted to be tested for the condition:
Their dad, Glenn, was there to greet them at the finish line.
So far, the epic challenge has raised almost €2 million for the FTD Brothers Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
Afterwards, they had a meeting with Tanaiste Simon Harris and other leading politicians in nearby Leinster House this afternoon. Longford-Westmeath Fine Gael TD, Micheál Carrigy, was at the finish line to cheer the lads on, before attending the meeting.
