With a busy period on farms ahead, parents are being asked to warn their teenagers against phone use on tractors.
Many will work on farm machinery in the summer months, with Gardaí concerned phones are increasingly becoming a distraction for those operating agricultural machinery.
Inspections are to be carried out in some parts of the country, with the aim of checking for phone use.
