The Saolta Hospital Group says visitors to St Coman's and St Teresa's wards are currently limited to compassionate grounds only.

Visiting restrictions are in place at Roscommon University Hospital due to a Covid-19 outbreak.

The Saolta Hospital Group says visitors to St Coman's and St Teresa's wards are currently limited to compassionate grounds only.

The hospital says it is appealing to the public not to visit the site if they have symptoms.

Visitors are also advised they must use the alcohol hand gels supplied as they enter and leave the hospital and that face-masks are also available for use.

Councillor Valerie Byrne, from Roscommon Hospital Action Committee, is encouraging people to obey the restrictions.
