Up to 1,700 electricity customers in the Shannonside region will be without power overnight, due to Storm Ashley.
The ESB doesn't think power will be back in these homes, farms and business until at least 2pm tomorrow.
They include: 19 in Fairymount; 73 in Clooneyquinn, Tulsk; 22 in Elphin; 251 in Croghan; 32 in Corrigeenroe, Boyle; 76 in Crossna, Boyle; 50 in Glenamaddy; 24 in Rahara, south Roscommon; 112 in Rooskey; 21 in Brideswell; 125 in Ballinamuck; 68 in Granard; 332 in Ardagh; 96 in Carrick-on-Shannon; 68 in Mohill; 191 in Drumcong; 100 in Fenagh; and 27 in Carrigallen.
Roscommon senator Eugene Murphy says there was carnage in the region today.
Roscommon County Council has dealt with fallen trees in several areas, including on the approach to Kilteevan village from the Lanesboro Road; near Oran cemetery; Loughglynn to Fairymount Road; Knockroe Road, Castlerea; the Loughglynn to Ballyhaunis Road; the Taughmaconnell to Brideswell Road.
Leitrim County Council has dealt with fallen trees on several roads in the north of the county.
A status orange warning remains in place for seven counties - Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry - until 8pm.
It’s reported there were gusts of over 135 km/h recorded off Belmullet in Co Mayo, and while wind speeds appear to have peaked on the west coast, they continue to pick up inland.
Council crews across the affected areas have teams in place.
