Uisce Éireann says it's working to lift a 'Do Not Consume Notice' on a local water supply.
The notice affects the Dowra Public Water Supply close to the Leitrim border in Co Cavan.
On October 20th, officials issued the notice to protect the health of around 63 customers in the area.”
Officials took action after they discovered elevated levels of iron and aluminium in the network.
Uisce Éireann says boiling water is not a sufficient measure to make it safe for consumption.
Tankers providing an alternative water supply for affected customers are located at Dowra Mart.
The water utility apologised for the ongoing inconvenience to customers in the Dowra area.
