Two county Roscommon premises were among those given orders by the FSAI last month.
Corrib Oil Spar Express, located on Patrick Street in Castlerea, was issued with a closure order on October 20th.
Under the FSAI Act, 1998, a Closure Order is served where it is deemed that there is or there is likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health at or in the premises; or where an Improvement Order is not complied with.
Closure Orders can refer to the immediate closure of all or part of the food premises, or all or some of its activities.
According to the FSAI, adequate procedures were not in place at the premises to control pests.
There were sightings of mice in an area close to the delicatessen and the pest control records indicate recent activity of mice in the premises.
The order was subsequently lifted on October 22nd.
While Foodliner Supermarket on Main Street in Ballaghaderreen was issued with a prohibition order on October 23rd.
This is given if the activities involve or are likely to involve a serious risk to public health from a particular product, class, batch, or item of food.
The effect is to prohibit the sale of the product, either temporarily or permanently.
Chicken legs were stored in the cold room and frozen meat was stored in the ice cream chest freezer.
Food which had been placed on the market was not adequately labelled or identified to facilitate it's traceability through relevant documentation or information.
There was no labelling or traceability information for the foodstuffs identified.
