Two men are due to appear in court following an incident on a bus service in Athlone. The incident is understood to have occurred on a replacement bus service operating during works on the Dublin to Galway rail line last Saturday. The two men, both aged in their 30s, were arrested at Athlone Train Station in connection with alleged public order offences.
They have since been charged and are due to appear before the courts in the coming weeks. Investigations are ongoing.
