A local Senator has welcomed morning's announcement by the Minister for Education confirming expanded supports for local Deis schools. St Attracta's National School in Ballaghaderreen and Scoil an Croi Naofa in Ballinasloe have been included in the programme. The €48 million investment will deliver 400 additional posts across the country. Senator Gareth Scahill says the funding will help improve equality for students in these schools:
