Two local projects have been recognised as part of the Local Authority Members Awards.
The event took place over the weekend at The Crown Plaza Hotel in Dublin with representatives from Longford and Roscommon in attendance.
Longford took home gold in the Best Tourism Initiative category for its work on the development of the Royal Canal Greenway.

While In Roscommon, Castlerea's Somers Park was awarded third place in the best public park category.
The accolades recognise communities and councils working together and bring national recognition to projects and developments.
