Two Athlone men have been remanded on bail in connection with a €140,000 drug seizure in Cork last week.
The two men were arrested when Gardaí stopped a taxi on the outskirts of the city and subsequently discovered approximately 2kg of cocaine in two separate packages.
According to the Irish Times, the 58-year-old and his 36 year old co-accused, both with addresses in Athlone appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court on Saturday.
