Gardaí have confirmed that two males were arrested at Athlone Train Station following a public order incident on board a train.
Officers attended the scene after reports of disorderly behaviour during the 5.32pm service between Dublin and Westport.
Both individuals were detained in connection with alleged public order offences.

One adult male was later cautioned and released without charge.
While a male youth, was also released following his arrest.
His case will now be referred to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme.
