A local haulier says truckers are on their knees and are now calling on the Government to wake up and engage with the industry.
Brendan Reilly fears some hauliers will not survive after Christmas due to continuous price hikes in fuel.
His business has seen a 38 per cent increase in its diesel bill since July of this year.

The Irish Truckers and Haulage Association against fuel prices are planning a second protest on the streets of Dublin next Monday.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, the Mullingar based trucker said the industry is under serious pressure with hauliers now worried about meeting repayments on their trucks and mortgages.
