Trial date set for man accused of murder of Ashling Murphy

The trial will take place in Dublin.

The man accused of murdering Ashling Murphy will stand trial on June 6th next year.

Jozef Puska, with an address at Lynally Grove in Tullamore, Co Offaly, made his first appearance before the Central Criminal Court this morning through a video link.

Ms Murphy, a 23-year-old primary school teacher, was killed while out for a run along the Grand Canal in Tullamore on the afternoon of January 12th.

Mr Puska's trial is expected to take up to four weeks.
