Transport Minister expects holidays to return in late summer

MEPs voted this week to approve the Covid-19 passport that would confirm whether a person was vaccinated, had tested negative or had recently recovered from covid.

The Minister for Transport says he expects people to be able to go on holiday, but not until later in the Summer.

The government is examining the return of international travel as part of the EU green pass system.

Careful consideration will be given to the possibility of foreign holidays over the next two months.

Minister Eamon Ryan says a cautious approach is still needed.
