A local councillor has criticised Transport Infrastructure Ireland's handling of road safety concerns in Roscommon.
It follows confirmation that progress has been made into installing a right-hand turning lane on a dangerous section of the N61.
Cllr Marty McDermott says Roscommon County Council and TII confirmed a feasibility study will be carried out at the Strokestown turnoff.
He says the study is overdue following a number of accidents on the stretch of road just after Fourmilehouse:
