Three Shannonside councillors in Fine Gael are backing Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys to succeed Leo Varadkar - if she puts her name forward. Longford councillors Peggy Nolan and Paraic Brady and Leitrim councillor Enda McGloin say they would vote for the Cavan-Monaghan TD if she allows her name go forward in the leadership race.
Cllr Brady believes Minister Humphreys can deliver what's needed to be the next Taoiseach and leader of Fine Gael:
