Those attending the concerts are asked to obey the instructions of stewards and to follow traffic procedures.

Thousands of people are expected to descend on Roscommon Racecourse over the next two days for this year's Midsummer's Weekend with the Stars festival.

The event, which for the first time takes place over Saturday and Sunday, promises to be one of the biggest open air music extravaganzas on the island in 2023.

On Saturday The Tumbling Paddies will top the bill alongside Ruaile Buaile, rhythm and sticks, one for the road and Paul Kelly, with gates opening from 3pm.

One Sunday Derek Ryan, Philomena Begley, Jimmy Buckley, Mike Denver and more will entertain the crowds from 2pm with entry from 12 noon.

The All Ireland Senior Football Championship group 3 match between Roscommon and Kildare will be shown on the big screens at the event.
