Third day of searches begins for missing Longford pensioner

Searches for a 79-year-old man missing from Co Longford are entering their third day this morning.

Peter Bohan was last seen in Drumlish shortly before 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.

He's described as 5 foot 9, of slim build, with brown/grey hair and blue eyes.

When last seen, Peter was wearing a blue knitted jumper, dark trousers and a dark baseball cap with a red peak.

Gardai and civil defence have been involved in searches for him, but he remains missing.

Independent councillor Gerry Warnock says he remains hopeful of a positive outcome.
