It's hoped that the new station for Lough Ree RNLI will be ready by late Summer.
The boathouse, located at Coosan point is about half complete, with work stalled due to Covid 19 restrictions.
The group has just returned to training this month, and operations manager Jude Kilmartin says they are always looking for more volunteers, particularly women.
