The Green Party has added two local candidates to contest the next general election.
Martina O'Connor has been selected to run in Roscommon-Galway, whilst Carol Okeke will contest the Longford-Westmeath constituency.
O'Connor had been councillor in Galway City since 2019 but lost her seat in local elections earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Okeke who was born and raised in Nigeria also ran in the local elections, receiving 122 first preference votes.
