A potential tourist attraction in the Shannonside region has taken a step forward towards reality.
A tender has been published looking for consultants to carry out a feasibility study on the proposed route of the Ballaghaderreen to Kilfree Greenway.
The greenway intends to make use of the disused railway line as the potential route.

The Roscommon-Sligo Greenway committee have previously approached landowners along the route, with the vast majority supporting the idea.
Deputy Claire Kerrane told Shannonside FM that the addition of the greenway would be a massive tourism boost to the region.
