Temperatures could hit 30 degrees in some parts of the country today. Met Éireann is predicting a very warm day, which will be mostly dry and sunny.
Temperatures are set to be between 22 to 28 degrees - and could even climb higher in the midlands. Cathal Nolan from Ireland's Weather Channel says a heatwave could be on the cards, if the temperatures stay above 25 degrees for five days in a row:
