Tax relief to refurbish homes now extended to property owners in Athlone

Property owners in Athlone can now apply for tax relief to refurbish homes or convert buildings for residential or business use.
It's under the Living City Initiative which aims to tackle dereliction.

The scheme which is already in place for areas like Cork and Dublin, will now be enacted in Athlone, Sligo, Drogheda, Dundalk and Letterkenny.
From today, property owners within designated parts of Athlone will be eligible to apply for tax relief, subject to meeting the relevant criteria.
