The Taoiseach was in Co Roscommon this evening to pay his respects to former Fianna Fáil TD Seán Sherwin.
Mr Sherwin was a Dublin deputy between 1970 and 1973 and was later his party's national organiser.
In recent years, he lived in Rooskey, Co Roscommon, where he died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, while aged in his late 70s.
His remains were reposing there this evening and Micheál Martin was among the mourners.
Mr Sherwin's funeral Mass is taking place in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Ballyfermot, Dublin, on Monday at 11.30am.
He was involved in several community groups in Rooskey, including Active Age and the Town and Country Development Committee.
