Taoiseach says more work needed on mental health services in Shannonside region

The Taoiseach says he acknowledges there’s still work to be done regarding mental health services across the Shannonside region.

Micheál Martin attended the Ógra Fianna Fáil conference in the Hodson Bay Hotel yesterday evening.

Roscommon-Galway Fianna Fáil TD Martin Daly said in the Dáil recently that the Mental Health sector is under-funded and that has led to staff shortages.

Speaking in Roscommon yesterday evening, the Taoiseach says the recruitment and retention of staff has been a problem within the sector.
