The Taoiseach says he can't physically stop Bertie Ahern from canvassing for Fianna Fáil.
It comes after the former Taoiseach was recorded making negative remarks about African people and Muslims.
Micheál Martin and Mr Ahern will likely come face to face at the Fianna Fáil Ard Fheis today - held to mark 100 years of the party.
