The European Commission President has said Ireland's response to the pandemic has been exemplary.
Ursula von der Leyen is in Dublin to meet Taoiseach Micheál Martin to discuss Ireland's recovery plan.
She approved the Recovery and Resilience document drawn up by the Government to plot a recovery from the pandemic.

Asked if Ireland was taking too slow an approach to re-opening indoor dining and international travel, President Von der Leyen said each country needs to move at its own speed.
