Taoiseach Micheál Martin responded to questions about Longford garda numbers from Fine Gael TD Micheál Carrigy

Two men were seriously injured in a double-stabbing in Longford town earlier this month.

The Taoiseach says garda numbers have increased by 8 per cent in Co Longford over the past 10 years.

It's after local Fine Gael TD Micheál Carrigy raised concerns about local policing numbers in the Dáil.
