A popular local GAA club has applied for planning permission for a significant upgrade of their home ground.
Tang GAA club near Ballymahon have applied to Westmeath County Council for the permission to add new facilities to the pitch at Coolvin.
The plans includes a new 90 metre by 145 metre football pitch along with ball stop netting, a new astro turf pitch, a ball wall and floodlighting.
Other significant elements of the application include the construction of a new spectator stand, walking track and car park.
County planners will decide on the application in August.
