Irish peacekeepers to stay in Lebanon until 2027

The United Nations Security Council decided yesterday to end troop deployments in South Lebanon over the course of the next two years.

The Tánaiste is to discuss ways Ireland and the EU can train the Lebanese Army, in the wake of the decision to end the UNIFIL mission there.
