Strokestown residents are in shock today following the tragic death of local man yesterday.
The man in his 40s was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services attended the scene but the man was pronounced dead after 4pm.

His body has been removed from the scene to University Hospital Galway for a post mortem which is due to take place today.
The health and Safety Authority has also been notified of the incident and an investigation is underway.
