A street auction will take place in Strokestown this evening to raise funds for insurance, upkeep and repairs of the local community playground.
The local development group have managed to clear most of the loan taken out to put in the facility, but spiralling public insurance costs and the need to replace some small pieces of equipment means more money is now needed.
Items for auction this evening will include a go-kart, hotel vouchers, and turf.
