A Status Yellow wind and rain warning has been issued for Co. Leitrim on Bank Holiday Monday.
Met Éireann says Storm Floris will bring strong and gusty winds, along with heavy rain, as it makes landfall tomorrow night.
The wind warning for Leitrim will be in place from 4am to 4pm on Monday, while the rain warning will remain in effect from 2am to 10am.
Leitrim is one of eight counties under alert, alongside Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, and Clare.
Forecasters are warning of difficult driving conditions, localised flooding, and the risk of fallen branches or debris.
Storm Floris is the sixth named storm of the 2024/2025 season.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says conditions will start to change this afternoon.
