Status yellow thunderstorm warning issued for Shannonside region

A status yellow thunderstorm and rainfall warning has been issued for a number of counties across the region.

The areas affected include Roscommon, Longford, Leitrim, Cavan, and Monaghan.

The warning comes into effect from 1 o'clock this afternoon and will remain in place until 8 o'clock this evening.
