Met Éireann is warning showers may fall as sleet or snow with some accumulations possible on high ground.
The alert impacts counties Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, and Wicklow.
There may be difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility on the roads.
Meanwhile, a nationwide yellow wind and rain warning is set to elapse at 6 o clock tonight.
