Major employers say there's a growing demand among workers for housing in Longford.
It follows a major funding announcement earlier this month for the construction of 25 new affordable homes in the county.
The Department of Housing says the €1.8 million project will be carried out at Ard Micheal on the Ballinalee Road.

It's the first time Longford County Council will lead an affordable housing project.
