Son of Leitrim revolutionary figure delighted with latest signage remembering her life

Bridie is one of the most famous women to be involved in the Irish revolutionary period.

The son of one of Leitrim's most famous figures involved in the War of Independence says it's very emotional to see his mother recognised at a local train station.

Irish Rail is currently installing various panels at train stations across the country highlighting famous figures of note in the area.

A panel, including local woman Bridie Clyne, has recently been unveiled, with locals especially impressed by the unique signage.
