The son of a former Minister of State has been elected as the new vice-chair of the Fine Gael party in Sligo-Leitrim.
Jude Perry who is the son of former Minister and TD John Perry, was elected at an event held in Sligo this week.
The meeting was addressed by Leitrim's three Fine Gael councillors; Cllr Ita Reynolds, Cllr Maeve Reynolds and Cllr Enda McGloin as well as Frank Feighan TD.

Jude says he hasn't thought about running in the next election yet but didn't rule out the possibility of it happening.
