Parking shortages at Roscommon University Hospital have been marked as a top priority by the HSE.
Concerns over the lack of spaces were raised at this month's meeting of the regional health forum west by Cllr Emer Kelly.
The HSE said rising patient numbers, expanded services and higher staffing levels have all contributed to mounting pressure on existing parking facilities.

Officials are examining both on-site and off-site solutions, while a wider masterplan for the hospital campus is currently being developed.
