The sod has been turned on a new athletics track in county Roscommon.
The first of its kind in the county, the track would be located Lisnamult Community Sports Park in Roscommon town.
When completed, organisers say the development will provide a modern space for training, competition, and community activity.
The project aims to support athletes of all ages while promoting health and wellbeing locally.
