There were over 60 patients were waiting for a bed at local hospitals in the Shannonside Northern Sound region this morning. 38 were waiting at Sligo University Hospital. In the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise and Mullingar, there were 3 and 2 respectively, while there were 15 in Cavan.

Elsewhere, there was 3 in Portiuncula. Nationally, University Hospital Limerick recorded the highest amount on trolleys with 124.
