A Sinn Fein TD says his party will examine reopening Garda stations in south Leitrim if they're elected to government. 139 Garda stations around the country closed down over a decade ago, after the financial crash.
Stations in Cloone and Keshcarrigan in Co Leitrim were among those that shut down. Sligo-Leitrim TD Martin Kenny says his party will seriously consider opening new stations in these areas if it's successful in the general election:
